Our Pirates displayed great racing skills at the Alberta Northern Provincial Meet, held over the June 15 to 17 weekend at the Kinsmen. Our swimmers put in their best efforts and noticabily managed to get their hand to wall to win the close racing battles!

William Cosgrove GOLD in the 200 Butterfly (with a NEW Team 15 & Over Record), 800 Free (New BB Time), & 100 Butterfly; SILVER in the 200 Freestyle; BRONZE in the 400 Freestyle; also placed 6th in the 50 Butterfly; 7th in the 100 Freestyle; and 9th in the 500 freestyle.
Aspyn Curry-Punk BRONZE in the 100 Butterfly; also placed 5th 200 IM; 7th 50 Butterfly (New BB Time); 8th 200 Breast; and 10th 100 Back
Jewel Shewchuk GOLD in the 400 IM (New Team 15 & Over Record & AA Time); BRONZE 200 Butterfly; also placed 4th 50 Back; and 9th 50 Breast
Dillan Evancusky SILVER in the 50 Back; also placed 4th 100 Back; 5th 200 Back & 200 IM; 6th 200 Free; and 8th in the 50 Butterfly

According to Swim Alberta’s meet statistics, 74% of Pirate performances where best times and the meet averaged 59%. In the Southern meet the average was 50%. Outside of two teams with one swimmer at the meet, PPAC had the highest improvement percentage in the Province!
