PPAC Strikes Gold at Mayflower
Last weekends Mayflower meet hosted by the Sherwood Park Swim Club, at the Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Center in Edmonton, proved to be a FUN challenge.
For most Pirates, this meet was their first racing experience in a long course (50m) pool!
They all did great!
For those who had raced long course before saw a lot of sizable time improvements from last long course season—last year! A few worth mentioning: 14 second drop in the 200 IM by William Cosgrove; 12 second drop in the 100 fly by Aspyn Curry-Punk; 27 second drop in the 100 back by Addison Fossen; 24 second drop in the 200 Free by Tegan Smith; and last but certainly not least, a 29 second drop in the 100 breast by Jadyn Svenningsen!
