Bell Canadian Swimming Trials

Bell Canadian Swimming Trials were held in Victoria, BC. Where Dakota Dotzlaf finished 8th the 100 Backstroke, in the 18 & Under age group. Finishing 21st over all—in Canadas strongest women’s event.The meet was exciting as Dakota raced various Olympians in her heats—like Canadian Record Holder Kylie Masse In addition to the 100 backstroke Dakota raced the 50 and 200 backstroke. Although she didn’t make it back to finals, Dakota swum a life time best in the her 200 backstroke, while lowering 2 team records.The experience of attending the weeklong Trials and racing the nations “Big Dogs” will help prepare her for Trials next year, with an eye on Olympic Trials in 2024.
